Friends, your girl made it on Home and Texture x Blavity House Tours. When I first received the message from Morgan Debraun, I immediately said yes. I knew Morgan’s work from Blavity, so I knew her new editorial project with Home Tours would be epic.

Show Time

My twist out was popping, my skin was glowing, and I wore a pretty dress that would show up well on camera. This was my time to show my home off, and I wasn’t going to fumble this opportunity.

According to Home & Texture, the house tours were created to allowing you to see some of the most stunning and sophisticated homes that amplify the beauty of Black and Multicultural design.

I don’t know who recommended me for this new show, but I am extremely thankful that you saw fit that my home was worthy of inviting viewers throughout my entire house. This was definitely a dream come true.

Morgan’s team emailed me with all of the details for the expectation of shoot day. Armed with the details, allowed me a couple of weeks to get the house prepared for this tour. It had to be cleaned, flowers ordered, and extra special care with the styling had to be done.

The day of the shoot went pretty smoothly. The team was there for about 4 hours where they asked me various questions and walked through the different rooms. While I completed the interview portion, another Home and Texture team member went around and filmed the items that I gave details about.
