Kitchen Redo

About a week ago, our kitchen update was completed for now. When I decided to go ahead and update this space, I knew I wasn’t able to do a gut job, plus I enjoy the layout of the space. Just like the rest of the house, I was board with the overall color scheme of it all. These cabinets were originally oak, and I was just ready for a change up.

It took a while for me to decide on the color that I wanted for this space. I knew whatever I chose I would need to live with it for a while. I though about black, gray, and white. I also though about doing one color for the top cabinets and another color for the bottom cabinets. Originally, I wrestled with having a color that would work well with the backsplash and countertops, but I have also decided to eventually change those out as well. After talking to the hubs, I decided to go with all white. I used Sherwin Williams Pure White. I also thought about taking the doors off of some of the cabinets for the open shelving look, but I decided against that. Now that the cabinets and the walls are white, I had to move a few things around to style the space just right. I brought in a paining that inherited from my aunt. I also changed out the tray for my bar area, added a She is Design print to the corner, and added the Chrissy Teigen cookbook to my Wayfair Marble Kitchen Island.

I finished styling the different surfaces, and I put my plants back in place. I couldn’t be more in love with how it all turned out. Please stay tuned to more!!
