In order for a space to come together, the styling as to be right. Spaces are personal for the person or people that live there, the items that are chosen for a space will be different for everyone. The items just need to make sense mixed with other items. Here I am styling my credenza which I absolutely love.

I always start with the largest item. In this case, I started with my beautiful credenza. I had been eyeing this credenza for a while from CB2, and one day I just decided that I had to have it. I knew that I wanted to use it for my entry way. It has beautiful textured designs which is another favorite of mine.

Artwork is one décor item that I love to use to personalize a space. It adds color and its tells its own story. I’ve had this piece for a very long time and decided to continue to use it here but in a different way. Of course, I layered additional artwork here.

I purchased this lamp before I had the credenza from Kirkland’s. I saw it in a magazine, and I immediately ordered it. I knew when I bought it that it would be perfect item to change things up a bit in my entry way. I think it looks perfect here next to the black backdrop. The lamp and large artwork helped to balance the look on the credenza.

Brass/Gold décor items are all the rave, and I had to finish this area with this gold orb from Home Goods just to add some additional textural piece to the space. Additionally, the gold orb matches the legs on the credenza which tied everything together. The additional art pieces are from Etsy.

What is a space without greenery. It’s definitely not a space in my home that doesn’t have some plant babies. I didn’t want to take away from the artwork or the designs in the credenza, so I only placed one plant in this location. You should never be afraid to use multiple textured pieces in your space. It brings depth and character to you space. Stay tuned for more styling tips.
