Holiday Tablescape
Happy Thanksgiving friends. I know this year is completely different from what we’ve ever experienced before. We are accustomed to our friends and family coming in from out of town. We plan huge gatherings and feast on a variety of traditional food items. Well due to the pandemic, our gatherings have went from large family gatherings to very small intimate gatherings. In many instances as in my case, our family gathering will only consist of the people that live in the house with me. Even though our gathering with be super small, I still wanted to set the table.
I knew I wanted a floral arrangement and there wasn’t question as to order one from one of my favorite florist here in Memphis, EverBloomDesigns. It has beautiful fall colors of orange, green, cream, burgundy, and tan. It was arranged in a stunning vase that adorned our glass dining room table perfectly.
I knew I would use my World Market black plates because you just can’t go wrong with the color black. Each plate has its all pattern which I love. I paired the plates with our rose gold flatware and Crate and Barrel wine glasses. I searched for amber candle holders from Amazon because I knew they were the color that would match well with the floral arrangement. I chose to use black tapered candles to finish off the look. Finally, I used napkins that were purchased on clearance from Marshalls many years ago, but never have used before.
All of these elements together makes for the perfect recipe to our Thanksgiving meal. I can’t wait to feast with my small family because we still have much to be thankful for.
I have some wonderful friends who also decorated their tables for the holidays. Please check them out below.
As you can see there are some similarities and some differences in our table settings. All 3 tables have gold flatware, greenery, and wine and water glasses. They all have some element of black and candles in the design. They differ in the centerpieces and the type of tables we all have. Demetrius of At Home with Savvy used a tablecloth, Alvin of Alvin Wayne has a wooden table, and I have a glass circular table. No matter the surface, we all managed to create beautiful table settings. You don’t need a lot to make the perfect setting, you can simply use what you already have around the house. If you don’t want to purchase an arrangement, simply cut some branches off your trees to make a natural centerpiece. I hope you have fun setting your table for the holidays.
