How to style Calligraphy Brushes
Calligraphy brushes have quickly become one of my favorite styling items. There was a time that I didn’t own one of them, but now I have over 10. What can I say, I love pretty things.
All 13 of my brushes were purchased from Whitney at WhitneyJDecor. She always has a plethora of them, and I am so lucky that I was able to grab the ones that I have
Calligraphy brushes are a Chinese invention used to write calligraphy. They were made from animal hair and the handle was made of bamboo or other exotic materials. Although, I’m sure they are still used as they were intended, others have started to collect them to use to style items in the home. Because of their beautiful textures, colors, and size, they have become home décor staples.
You can style them in a variety of ways. It could be the pop of color you are looking for or maybe you need something with some texture for your coffee table. The styling options are endless.
The brushes can be styled on a coffee table with or without a book. You can use one, two, or several brushes to style in one area. You can purchase calligraphy brushes in a variety of colors and shapes.
Calligraphy Brushes can be styled in a wooden tray or any tray. They can be placed in a glass jar so that you can see all of the beautiful patterns and textures on them. This allows for them to be grouped together where you can miss the prints and textures.
They can be placed on your nightstand, bar cart, or used to style your kitchen island. Again, the styling of these brushes can be used however you see fit. I will definitely snag some more brushes from Whiteny to style in my client’s home.
I can’t wait to see how you style them in your home. Make sure you tag me so I can see and share.
