One Room Challenge: Week 4 Updates and Inspiration
Hey friends!! We are at the halfway mark of the One Room Challenge, and I can’t be more excited to reveal this space. Remember the One Room Challenge is a platform that featured designers and guest participants can participant in to transform a space within a short amount of time. It isn’t a competition but simply a bonding experience between participants and their followers. Each week, the participants post to their blog or IG their updates on their space. I am a guest participant for the very first time, and I have decided to tackle my Master Bathroom. If you haven’t read my previous post, please do so below.

Master Bathroom Updates
We have installed all the light fixtures which you can read all about them in last week’s post. The bathroom has been painted except for the tile floor. The new faucets have been put in on the two vanities. This past week, we put up the shelf in the toilet room and installed the last light fixture. I changed all door knobs and hinges to matte black. I attempted to fix our sinks by spraying it with Tough as Tile spray. Although, it looks better, it didn’t completely hide the veins in the sink. I’m debating about having it professionally re-glazed. After getting the bathroom painted, I was talking to my friend, Carmeon, and she suggested I paint the ceiling black or another color in the wallpaper. I thought it was a great idea, and immediately contacted my painter to come back out. I had it painting the Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black. Finally, I painted some gray planters matte black and stained my DIY caddy.
Master Bathroom New Decisions
I decided to get a frameless shower door which will be the icing on the cake. Since making that decision, I’ve also selected some hexagonal tile from Floor and Décor to be placed on our shower floor. I originally was going to paint my tile floor myself, but decided to go ahead and let my painter do this project. Sometimes, it is better to hire certain projects out. I will also hire out laying the shower tile.
Master Bathroom Inspiration
I realized that I never shared with you some of the spaces that inspired my Master Bathroom in some way. I either loved the shower door, the paint color, the wallpaper, etc. from a variety of spaces. These two are my favorites though.
You see why these two spaces inspired one or two elements of my makeover. Shavonda’s wallpaper from Milton and King is just stunning. I loved it immediately when she installed it for her One Room Challenge space. Then, Carmeon got Campbell’s Glass to install a frameless shower, and I just feel all the way in love. These two elements were a must have in my newly designed space.
There are more exciting things to come, so please continue to check back here for more weekly updates.
Thank you all for following along and please stay tuned for more.
